Report of the East River Guard New York May 29th 1776: At 12 o'clock PM appeared off the docks the sloop 'Happy Return' Hubbard Latham Master from RI. Challenged and fired upon by a sentinel by which the master rec'd a slight wound in the thigh. s// Berrry Ledyard Capt
