In the design of the ship it seems to have been present the will to surpass the English "Sovereign of the Seas". The ship was built in Christania (Norway) by James Robbins, with 3 full bridges and artillery guns arriving to have 108 (outnumbering the Sovereign) and can fire a broadside that was around 1,200 pounds
