Dutch War Fleet of 15 vessels under Admiral Van der Dussen for the escort of the Dutch Fleet of India against French Squadron

Encounter in the fog : not all ships must have participate .

Overijssel , Captain Boddan , first vessel in the line , was incapacited  in 4 volleys of the Eclatant . Four ships , who  attacked  the Furieux and Bienvenu , went to aid the crew of  Overijssel . The french ships escape .

30 french out of commission : just in the Eclatant or all the squadron ?
