Notes on Action

DescriptionTRN4
On the 25th, the Cerberus, 28, Captain Robert Man, whilst cruising off Finisterre, sighted, chased, and brought to action the Spanish 30-gun frigate Grana, Don N. de Medina. She was a month out from Ferrol on a cruise. Her armament was wretchedly light, consisting of twenty-two 6-prs. and eight 4-prs., and to this must probably be ascribed her easy capture. She was purchased into the Navy under the same name, and rated as a 28.
