This mans baptism record dated 6 Nov 1792 at Farneham in Surrey gives his parents as Charles & Mary Francis Rich. His death announcement in the Bristol Times and Mirror 30 July 1869 gives his as Vice Admiral Edwin Ludlow Rich 1792-29 July 1863.
