As a matter of fact, there is some doubt as to which 'Termagant' he returned to England with. Although the biography states the 28 gun, sixth rate, it was not commissioned until 1822, making it quite impossible, so it seems to be the Termagant sloop of 18 guns.

Captain Charles Shaw was born August 8, 1785, second son of Sir John Gregory Shaw, Bt. After his making post rank, he returned home in the Termagant, 28, and was subsequently employed for a brief time on the East India Station. He married, in 1822, Frances Ann, fourth daughter of Sir Henry Hawley, Bt, and died in Pembrey, Kent on May 2, 1829.- Sourced from his biography recorded by John Marshall.
