Edward Shrapnell wrote a petition to the Admiralty in 1805 contesting a £19.14.6 pay stoppage when a brig full of newly impressed sailors deserted from the Cleveland tender after they had been given new clothing. ADM 1/3130 letter 82, July 6, 1805.
