Hi, John Miller Adye was at the Battle of the Nile. He was a lieutenant on Nelsons ship Vanguard. He is in the famous painting of Nelson watching the L'Orient explode. His face is immediately to the left of Nelson. I have his Silver Nile medal and I am keen to know anything about the man. can anyone help? Interestingly the Partridge was the ship which went to Elba to find out if Napoleon had left so it and its capt Adye might be in the new Ridley Scott epic. Thanks
