I was reading a July 1882 Harper's Magazine that was stored on our farm in NH. It wrote about Christian Bergh's dislike of debt, he had told his son Henry to pay his doctor bill after is death. He was a tall man at 6' 6'' It should be remembered to the honor of this man he was the first to employ the black man.
