16.3.1758 Le Borgne de Kerusoret left Brest on March 6, 1758, at the head of a division made up of a 74-gun vessel, two frigates and a corvette, in order to escort convoys of merchant ships intended to supply the French islands of the West Indies . These carried ammunition and clothing for the troops. The English continued to block Saint-Domingue. On March 24, 1758, he received a pension of 800 pounds from the Order of Saint-Louis.There, however, they had not remained inactive. As early as September 1758, the small fleet of the West Indies placed under the orders of Le Borgne de Kerusoret and Bidé de Maurville had shown itself before Saint-Domingue to intimidate the English, before Pitt decided to send a fleet of 20 ships of the line and reinforcements of 8000 troops.ref:631
