1776 Joined Navy
1780 Nearly drowns whilst off the coast of Jamaica
1781 Appointed to serve on the Princess Royal
1831 Dies in Seaford Sussex. Box tomb decorated with trident and anchor in St Leonard's churchyard and memorial inside the church.
