1847 Received the Naval General Service Medal with a clasp for the Defeat of the French Fleet, capture of six sail of the line and one sunk whilst serving on Bellerophon on 1794/06/01. He received a further clasp for Lord Cornwallis's brilliant repulse of a fleet, four times times superior in force, whilst serving on Bellerophon on 1795/06/17ADM 171/8
