1847 Received the Naval General Service Medal with a clasp for the Defeat of the French Fleet, capture of six sail of the line and one sunk whilst serving on Queen Charlotte on 1794/06/01. He received a further clasp for an action with a French fleet and the capture of 2 sail of the line whilst serving on Boyne on 1795/03/14 even though Boyne was not present at the action  ADM 171/8
