3.9.1696 Thomas Wiggett, the Elizabeth, Spithead. He was master of the Monmouth from when she went to the Straits with Admiral Russell until she came home when he was removed into the Elizabeth with the ship's company. He expected to remove into the Eagle by Admiralty order, but another master was sent down and he requests where he is to go as the Elizabeth is to be laid up.ADM 106

13.9.1696 Thomas Wiggett, the Eagle, Portsmouth harbour. Receipt of letter, he applied to Commissioner Greenhill who advised him to acquaint the Clerk of the Cheque. Yesterday he was ordered by Captain Gardner, commander of the Eagle, to store the provisions, but the former master went to the Clerk of the Cheque who refused to discharge him as he had no warrant.ADM 106
