Samuel Blyth was my great great great grandfather. A commemoration with military honours was held in the Eastern Cemetery, Portland, Maine on 5.9.2013, attended by State dignitaries, the Assistant Naval Attache and relatives of both Samuel Blyth and William Burrowes, captain of the USS Enterprise.
