During the Quiberon Expedition that unit was known as the 'Régiment "Hector" or the "Marine Royale" : Claude René Pâris, the Count of Soulanges, former Squadron Leader, Knight of Saint-Louis, brother-in-law of Count Charles-Jean d'Hector , is the commander of the Regiment of Hector, during the Quiberon expedition. He was shot in Vannes on July 31, 1795. The Regiment is disbanded the 24 october 1795 after the campaign and reactived in 1797 .E-WIKI
