Extract of a letter from the Surgeon of the Fincastle privateer belonging to Clyde, dated Mahon, March 12, 1780
On the 23rd of December last, we were taken off the Western islands by the Precieuse frigate of 34 guns. and carried along with her to Toulon, were we arrived on the 17th of January, and put into close confinement on the 19th. On the 3rd of March, we, with the other prisoners, in that place, to the number of 132, were put on board a cartel vessel, and landed on the 6th of the same month in the island of Minorca.
