The Hired Armed Cutter Sandwich above, is the same ship as the Sandwich of 1804/1805. Sandwich was hired by the Royal Navy in 1798 under the command of Lieut. George Lempriere, and captured by the French frigate Creole in 1799. She fell back into British hands in 1803, and was commissioned on the Jamaica station in 1805 under Lieut. Benarding. She was sold in Jamaica in 1805.
