Im looking for info also on this ship.
It is said my 8th great grandfather, William Campbell of Scotland died on this ship before 1708.
Thats the only info i have on him.
Any luck finding passenger list or date of sinking?

I’m looking for any information concerning: 1690 Peter Rucker emigrated to America aboard the ship 'The Rising Son' one of four sailing from Gravesend England with 700 passengers. ('The Rising Son' was a French ship captured by the British during a war with the French). The ship wrecked off the Virginia coast outside of Jamestown near the mouth of the James River. Peter and a few others were able to swim to shore.

Has anyone discovered the shipwreck or any information about the sinking?

Thanking you in advance for any information you can provide.
