Notes on Ship

Passed throught the Denmark SoundSPD-1694-5
J. H. Pauly to the Duke of Shrewsbury.
"The want of consideration shown to our nation by English naval officers has now gone such lengths that, in passing recently through the Sound, as convoy to a fleet of English merchantmen, the following three ships refused to salute the castle of Cronenburg according to ancient custom, viz., the Oxford, Captain Granaway, the Bonaventure, Captain Davison, and the Prince George, Captain Barber."
