On August 8, 1807, in the cove of Trévognon (Finistère), at 10 a.m., with three "Veteran" barges whose command was entrusted to Le Redde, he supported for five hours a fight against six barges and an English brig. The latter dismasted from his topmast, is forced to give up the fight and run away.
