Admiralty-Office, October 14, 1797.

Copy of a letter from Vice-Admiral Kingsmill, Commander in Chief of His Majesty's Ships and Vessels on the Coast of Ireland, to Evan Nepean, Esq; dated the tb of October, 1797.

SIR, Request you will inform my Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty, that Captain Faulknor, of His Majesty's Ship Diana, has sent in a coppered French Cutter Privateer Le Flibustier, of 4 Guns, 5 Swivels and 29 Men, out of Bourdeaux 52 days, but which had not made any capture.

According to English records (ADM 103/329) Was captured on 27 Sept 1797 off Cape Finesterra. Alexandre C. Lapeyre was the 1st Lieutenant on board.
