CaptureBG

Doris, of the Old Head of Kinsale, SIR , September 8, 1797.

Since my last acquainting you of the capture of the Derrepente, a Spanish Privateer Lugger, I beg leave to inform you, that in Latitude 46 deg. 40 min. N. Longitude 12 deg. W. I chaced and captured the Fabius, a famous Privateer Ship, of Nantes, having on board 16 6-pounders and 4 12-pounders, with 140 men. She had been out 10 days from Nantes, and had captured a small Portuguese Vessel only from Cork, bound to Lisbon.

I am, &c.
