Copy of a letter from Captain Lobb, of His Majesty's Ship Pomone, to William Marfden, Ejq; dated off Lisbon, February 10, 1806.
SIR, have the honor to acquaint you, for the information of the Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty, that the boats of His Majesty's Ship under my command captured, off Lisbon, the 25th ultimo, El Bengador Spanish Lugger Privateer, with 1 gun and 28 men ; she had been 6 weeks from Bayonne. The Maid of the Mill, William Dearing,Master, from Newfoundland, was retaken at the same time, the only capture the Lugger had made ; I sent her to Lisbon, the port she was bound to, and the privateer was destroyed. You will be pleased to communicate the inclosed to their Lordships.
