Notes on Ship

Grenada E.N.E. 11 leagues, His Majesty's Sloop King's Fisher. Dec. 29, 1804.

A chace of 6 hours S.W to this situation, enabled the Sloop I command to capture Les Deux Amis French Schooner Privateer , pierced for 8 guns, only 2 on board as captured, the remainder thrown overboard ;her crew 39 men, commanded by Francis Dutrique, 10 days from Guadaloupe, her first and unsuccessful cruize. I sould be doing great injustice to His Majesty's Schooner Grenada, were I not to give her  the credit, chacing the enemy to my view, and when her Commander saw that I had every chance of success, he judiciously chaced, and recaptured the Sloop Hero.

I am, &c.
