Le 18 october 1803 Le Chasseur commandé par J. Blankeman capture le collier brig (brick charbonnier) EAGLE, originaire de Scarborough. Celui-ci effectuait une traversée de Newcastle à Londres. Le capitaine de l'EAGLE était Richard Williamson senior. Après la vente du navire à Dunkerque, le capitaine Williamson, accompagné de son fils âgé de 14 ans, pilotin, fut emmené à Verdun. les deux restèrent prisonniers jusqu'en 1814. Richard junior se maria à Verdun en 1812 avec Lucille PIERRE. Un fils, Richard Pierre, naquit à Verdun en 1813.
