Launched by a builder named Amosov in 1828. Built nominally as a transport and armed in London in 1830.
Captured off Beirut carrying stores by H.M.S. Castor during the Middle Eastern Crisis of 1840. Susequently presented to the Sultan. Retained its existing name (which transliterates into modern Turkish as Kafr-üş-Şeyh).
