Service History

You have informed us that the first of the new 5th Rate Frigates building at Shoreham by Mr Ellis will be ready for launching in about a month or five weeks, and will be named Arundel, and established with the same number of Men, and number and nature of Guns as are allowed to HM Ships at Portsmouth.
We direct you to cause her to be launched as soon as convenient, fitted for Channel service, manned with her highest Complement of Men and victualled for ten weeks.
