16 Carronde, 2 gun Beagle's role at Basque and Aix Roads in April of 1809 seems to be seriously missing from this page. Francis Newcombe, Beagle's captain, was lauded for his zeal during the haphazard encounter that caused Admiral Gambier to ask for a court martial and it eventually resulted in Lord Cochrane's dismissal from the Royal British Navy.
