The captain of the Quaker ketch 9.4.1677-29.11.1678 was Richard Haddock, NOT Admiral Sir Richard Haddock.
This Richard was Sir Richard's uncle, who died in 1678 in the West Indies. See Calendar of State Papers Colonial.
The Richards in this family can be quite confusing.
