Log book ADM/L/S/268 entry for 5th June 1706 shows the Shoreham's capture off the south west coast of Ireland of 'a French privateer of 8 guns belonging Sharbrook (perhaps Cherbourg?) having 49 men after a small dispute and shot her main topmast they struck...'

I have ADM/L/S/270 of May 1709 for the Shoreham showing the 12 gun privateer she captured to be 'Union of St.Malo.' Would your source be accurate?
I am researching/writing the history of the Shoreham as if it were the same ship after the rebuilding of 1719/20. Would rebuilding have been total or partial and would it have been likely to have used the original timbers?
Amazing website - congratulations!
