As usual there is confusion with the spelling of 'foreign' names in English records. Official RN records have Wassenar, Wassenaer, Wassanaer and Wassenaar. And they are just the ones I've found. Winfield and Willis both have Wassenar.

Name in RN service was HMS WASSENAER, not HMS WASSENAR.
